“Best wine decision I've ever made. The Shiraz is incredible and knowing every bottle helps someone get clean water makes it taste even better.”
Here's the Deal
We made a slightly insane promise.
In 2022, on World Water Day, we made a very public (and maybe slightly insane) promise: provide 5 million people with clean drinking water in 10 years.
Every bottle of Little Ripples wine provides one person with a year of clean water. Simple math: sell 5 million bottles, change 5 million lives.
So far we've built 73 wells that provide 106,400 people with permanent clean water access. Every well comes with spare parts and a maintenance program so it lasts 10+ years — that's the equivalent of over 1 million people each getting a full year of clean water.
4 years in. 73 wells built across Uganda, India, Malawi and Tanzania. 106,400 people with clean water for 10+ years. We're 20% of the way there with 60% of the time gone.
We're not going to sugarcoat it — we're behind. But here's the thing: the curve is going exponential.
World Water Day 2026 Announcement
We Need to Go Faster.
So We Are.
We know we're behind. And we're not going to sit around hoping things speed up on their own. This World Water Day, we're announcing a new pledge: one water well, every single week, for the rest of 2026. That's 40 wells in 40 weeks.
Communities served across Uganda, India, Malawi & Tanzania
2026 Well Tracker
40 weeks. 40 wells. Starting now.
Together with the BridgIT Water Foundation, we're building or refurbishing one water well per week across Uganda, India, Malawi and Tanzania for the rest of 2026. We've never moved this fast. The curve is going exponential.
People-Years of Clean Water
Through the sale of our wine, we have permanently changed the lives of 106,400 people across the globe. Because each well is engineered to last over a decade, our community has effectively funded over 1,064,000 years of clean, life-saving water.
Why You Can Trust This
This isn't a marketing stunt.
Since inception, Little Ripples has donated more to its water mission than the company has kept in profit. In years where the business lost money — through bushfires, COVID, and supply chain crises — we still built wells. Every single year.
In August 2025, our founder travelled to Uganda to visit well sites and build new ones firsthand. This isn't a logo on a poster. It's the reason the company exists.
Founded during bushfire season. Still built our first wells.
COVID shut down hospitality. Pivoted online. Kept building.
Publicly committed to 5 million people in 10 years.
Founder in Uganda. 73 wells and counting. Growth going exponential.
One well per week. 40 new wells pledged. The biggest year yet.
Our Impact So Far
Every Well Has a Story.

How It Works
It's Stupidly Simple.
You drink wine.
The hard part (not really).
We build wells.
With our mates at BridgIT.
People get clean water.
For a whole year. Per bottle.
The Growth Story
From One Well
to a Movement.
Six years. 88x growth. Here's how a single well in Uganda became one of Australia's fastest-growing clean water initiatives.
It started with one.
Through bushfires and COVID.
We never stopped.
The momentum builds.
Doubling. Then doubling again.
88× growth in 6 years.
Cumulative People-Years of Clean Water
What If We Keep Going?
At our current growth rate, 5 million people-years isn't a dream. It's math.
Beyond the Well
Clean Water Changes Everything.
Clean water is an economic multiplier. According to an independent impact study, providing a community with a reliable water well doesn't just quench thirst — it transforms entire economies.
Built to Last
Engineered for a Decade of Independence.
We don't just drill wells and walk away. Every project is built for a 10+ year lifespan and absolute community independence.
Spare Parts Provided
Every well includes a comprehensive maintenance kit so communities can self-repair without external dependence.
Water User Committees
Locals are trained to collect micro-fees for future self-funded repairs — real community ownership, not charity.
Female Leadership
65% of Water User Committee members are women, and the crucial Treasurer role is strictly reserved for a woman.
